Rebuilding Master Cylinder
August 22, 2020
I try my best to be a responsible motorcycle owner but, like owning any vehicle, it can be a lot of work! And sometimes you just ignore the check engine light for as long as you can…
So several years ago my bike failed tech at a Thunderhill track day because the master cylinder was cracked. We ended up safety wiring the master cyclinder on, and I continued on my merry way like that for the track day and onwards to a few months ago.
Building Planters
May 22, 2020
I got one of these growing kits from Home Depot and planted two varieties of tomatoes, brussel sprouts, lavender, rosemary and cilantro. I knew I would probably have to figure out bigger containers for the tomatoes and brussel sprouts.
The little buggers grew insanely quickly! I knew I’d need planters for them. I looked online for buying pre-built planters and they were ranging quite a bit from 80-150 bucks a planter!
Motorcycle Electrical Problems - Part Two

Read Part One
My new battery came in pretty quickly, but the regulator/rectifier took several weeks! My poor bike was exploded the whole time. I’m grateful it didn’t rain.
So the first thing is that the wiring and plugs for the new R/R didn’t match the wire and plugs for my stator wire plug. You can see the old R/R has a single wire plug and in fact only has 5 wires coming out of it.
Diagnosing Motorcycle Electrical Problems

Back in Austin I had some electrical problems with the bike that I decided to put off because it was winter and I wasn’t really riding as much anyways. It started when I accidentally left the parking lights on (why is that even a feature?) at work, then culminated with the bike dying at stop sign on my way home. I thought the battery was toast from being drained so many times so I bought a new battery.
Getting Travis to Deploy my Website to Godaddy Part 1

In case it wasn’t immediately obvious, my education and background are NOT in tech. Originally I wanted to be an artist! That’s hilarious considering how crappy I am at painting.
Anyways, when I was a senior in college I decided to do a hard turn into software by taking a couple of web development classes for non-majors. I figured I’d showcase my amazing animation skills AND my amazing web development skills by building my portfolio out on my Dad’s domain.
Painting My Dresser

When I started thinking about my move from Austin to California, I rolled around a couple of ideas of how to do so in my head. My first thought was take the truck back, the way I went to Texas in the first place. I won’t bore you with the details but in the end I decided to fly and ship all my things. What I WISH I had done was paid the extra 600 bucks and hired movers.
